Continuing EducationThis year WPTLA will offer several 1 CLE credit
opportunities as part of a new Lunch 'n Learn series. These one hour
sessions will be held in an Allegheny County courtroom, will feature
prominent local trial lawyers, and will provide lunch to attendees.
The first, on November 1, 2007, featured Past President Mark J. Homyak, of
The Homyak Law Firm, speaking on keeping your verdict by trying it
right the first time. On Friday, February 29, 2008, Past President
William F. Goodrich, of Goodrich & Goodrich, held a "Bring Your Case"
seminar. On Wednesday, April 23, 2008, Past President John P.
Gismondi, of Gismondi & Associates, offered
tips on organizing your trial for presentation. The last Lunch 'n
Learn for the 2007-2008 year will be held in June. A 3 credit CLE seminar was offered on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 in Pittsburgh, PA. This course, entitled Bringing Your Trial into “Focus”, featured Immediate Past President Veronica A. Richards, Member Jon R. Perry, and Linda Harmon of Trial Focus.
