Legislative DinnerOn February 2, 2006 members of the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association had the pleasure of meeting and greeting several members of the Pennsylvania Legislature during the February Dinner meeting at the Engineers Society of Western Pennsylvania. While dining on Filet and Tuna Steak, members of the Association discussed hot topics in Harrisburg with the legislators. We were able to share our concerns about our client’s ability to have access to the court system and to be able to recover damages awarded. The legislators discussed the various tort reform legislation currently on the floor and in committee, including Joint and Several Liability, the return of caps, and other business/insurance oriented bills.
